Grace & The Bounce House

Today marks the last day of Fantasy Fest. Finally after ten long days of different themed adult parties, it's time for one for the kids. We took Grace and Carrera down to Bayview Park. It was PACKED. They had bounce houses, silly string battles, cotton candy, balloons, face painting and every thing else that kids like. A lot of the stuff available was geared for children older than Grace, but we managed to find a bounce house with smaller kids, around her age.

I thought it would be a fun thing for her. I was wrong. We put her in and she had a hard time standing. Once she was standing she would go airborn a few times. She decided that it was much easier to just sit there and be bounced. After about five minutes she was DONE with the bounce house. Oh well. Maybe we'll try it again next year.

(Trying to figure it out)
(Still trying to figure it out)
(Trying to stand up)

(Giving up and just being bounced instead)

Happy Halloween

It's Halloween time. It also happens to coincide with Fantasy Fest here, so there are two trick-or-treat dates here. The military base continued with the tradition of trick-or-treating on Halloween. The city of Key West will have trick-or-treating on November 2nd due to
Fantasy Fest.

Brandon and I took Grace out trick-or-treating to just a few houses. She was wearing my old costume from when I was her age. I'm surprised that it has held up as well as it has. She looked adorable. She really didn't know what to do with the cute pumpkin bag that Grammy Jane made her, but she had the part down about ringing the doorbell. We kept trying to get her to say trick or treat, but it wasn't happening. Once we got home Brandon was feeding her candy in order to keep her occupied and so I could get some cute photos. He would shake the candy box and Grace would come over to him. He said it was the kid version of a hunting call. It was a fun Halloween.
