Update
We are finally in Florida. Thank goodness!!! It was a VERY long day of traveling. We were up early and met the shuttle to take us to the airport in Frankfurt. We had a very eventful flight. Grace was still sick and not improving on the antibiotics. She was very fussy and didn't want to sit in her seat. Of course she also got her first tooth that day (May 23rd). Once we got to Florida I took her in to an emergency walk in pediatric clinic to be seen. They put her on a different course of antibiotics and also started her on antibiotic eye drops. She started improving right away. I'm glad to say that she is well now. She still has a cough, but that is going away. She was feeling and looking so much better that we did new photos of her. My sister in law Erica shot over 300 photos of Grace, Carrera and her son Carmine. Here are just a few of Grace. I think we're going to do more this week. Hope you enjoy.

Pink Eye and the Move
The movers have come and gone. How they packed us up so quickly is amazing to me. It will take me months to unpack what they packed up in three days. I wondered how they would get it down four flights of stairs. I mean it did come up four flights, but those movers were REALLY upset with us. This time however, they had a lift to help them out. I was a bit nervous, because it didn't look too stable, but it did the job just fine. How those movers did half the stuff they did is beyond me. You couldn't pay me enough to drive a big truck down those tiny narrow roads.
(View of the move from Grace's room)
While all this chaos and commotion of packing, moving and cleaning was going on I had Grace at the Child Develoment Center (CDC). I didn't want her at the house with all that was going on. While Grace was at CDC she managed to catch a cold. That is pretty normal. She also managed to get pink eye and an ear infection. Poor Grace woke up this morning and I had to wipe her eyes so she could open them because they were so matted shut.
It never fails that your child will get sick during the most inconvenient time. Here we are in a hotel, without a car and without our house hold goods, just living out of a suitcase. Needless to say I got the stroller (down three flights of stairs) and took Grace to the Pediatric Clinic on base. She is now on an antibiotic and ear drops. I also have a doctors note saying she is on treatment and allowed to fly. Despite being sick, she has been in a really good mood. She is such a good little girl.

Moving Time!
Sorry for not having any updates, hopefully I'll get a chance this week. We are in the process of moving and Grace has to go to the Child Development Center on base while the movers are here. The movers are really quick and already have two of the rooms packed within the first two hours. Too bad Grace isn't here, it would be her paradise. With all these boxes and paper all over, she'd be in heaven. Of course we'd have to make sure she didn't get packed up ;)
Check back later this week for photos and an update.

7 1/2 Months Old
Just some cute photos of Grace in the bathtub tonight. I bought her some foam bath letters and numbers. She thinks they taste great.
Why Buy Toys?
Grace loves a few of her toys, her lovie is one of them and the seahorse is the other toy. Other than that she prefers kitchen utensils. The basting brush is her favorite. She loves to chew on both ends of it. Of course after she has chewed on it a while she ends up painting her face with slobber. Oh well, It keeps her entertained.

Peek-a-boo and the Lovie
Brandon got a pair of fleece pants for Christmas from his mom. Grace thought those were the tastiest pants in the world. She would try to eat them every time Brandon had them on. Thankfully Mary Jane had some left over material so Grace could have a lovie. She adores her lovie. She chews on it all the time and we play peek-a-boo with it. Today we were having a very fun time playing peek-a-boo.
Bavarian Baby
While we are enjoying our last few weeks here in Germany we are trying to get in as much as possible. While we are looking forward to returning to Key West, we will miss certain things from here. One of those things is fresh pretzels! They have the best pretzels here. It's quite a treat to have a pretzel along with a cold German beer. Which by the way is another thing they do quite well here. We will really miss the beer.
Grace has started eating small bites of solid food, not just baby food. Brandon was tearing off small chunks of his pretzel to feed to her. She loved it. Of course she also wanted to drink out of the glass too, but he didn't let her. Turns out she is a Bavarian baby after all, even though she was born in the Baden-Württemberg state in Germany.

Happy Mother's Day!
It's always a challenge to get Grace to sit still for photos. This time it was a two person team. I entertained Grace and Carrera snapped the photos. Grace was mostly interested in eating the sign. But Carrera did a great job despite Grace being a challenge! We just wanted to wish all the mothers and mothers-to-be a VERY Happy Mother's Day!
Shh, Baby Sleeping
Brandon snapped these photos while I was out at the grocery store. I left Grace in Brandon and Carrera's very capable care. They did a great job. She was sound asleep when I got back from the store. Grace is very lucky to have such a great big sister.

Weinheim Family Trip
We went to Weinheim on Saturday. It was a fun family day trip. We walked around the town a little bit and had GREAT pizza and ice cream. We stopped in the playground for a little bit and the kids (both big and little) played for a while. Grace wasn't too impressed because there were no swings she could go on. She did like the birds at the mini zoo. I think she liked the bright colors of the birds. I'm going to miss our family day trips because it ended up being a very fun day.
Clap and Splash
Grace is learning how to clap. When she is in her bath her clap sometimes turns in to a splash. It's so fun to watch her clap and splash. Of course she has to pause to drink bath water every once in a while. She is so silly.

Get Ready Mom!
Grace has discovered that she can push herself up in to a crawl position. Well sort of. She can either get the front end up, or the back end, but not both at the same time. It's so funny to watch her, she gets this determined look on her face. Eventually she just falls over on her side and rolls over. It will be interesteing to see if she crawls first or walks first. She is pulling herself up in her crib now. I know when she has that determined look she is just telling me to watch out, she is going to be mobile soon!

Bath Time!
Just a short video from tonights bath! She was having such a good time. I'm so glad that she loves her baths.
Morning Sweetie
Grace is such a good morning baby. She almost always wakes up happy and cooing. This video is from this moring and is no exception. She is even trying to peer over the side of her crib bumper out the window. What a big girl!

Hats
Who knew my little girl would look so cute in hats. Well apparently my Aunt Vicki did. She bought Grace's first hat. That started it for me. Now Grace has a variety of hats, in different colors and styles. She is quite fashionable (just don't mind the drool)! The best thing is that she hasn't figured out how to take the off yet!
